The W50 Program, created by Banco Santander and organised by Anderson School of Management, University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), is looking for women aged 35 – 40 years old who possess substantive professional work experience and significant direct accomplishments.
Launched in 2011, the W50 Program has been designed to equip the next generation of global women leaders for service as board directors. Santander’s purpose in launching this program is to strengthen its relationship with the Santander Universities Network, and to establish Santander as an advocate of higher education providing women with career development and psychosocial support.
Participants selected from the Santander Universities Network will be provided with development tools, training and knowledge to improve productivity, and the skills to retain talent and ensure the future success of organisations.
The key topics covered within the program are:
- Strategic leaderships
- Introduction to corporate governance
- Strategy, structure, succession
- Key accounting considerations
- Business acumen
- Bringing your whole self to work
- Mentoring and networking
The program will take place from 18 to 23 June 2017 and take place at the UCLA campus. Tuition costs, program materials and accommodation are all included and participants will stay at a hotel near campus. Please be aware travel costs are not included.
Deadline for applications is 31 March 2017 and English proficiency is required. UCLA Anderson handles the selection process and will directly contact all applicants with their decision.
